LECTIO - Read Scripture Text: 1 Peter 1:3-9
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who according to His abundant mercy has given us a new birth into a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance that will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you. You are kept by the power of God through faith to salvation ready to be revealed in the final time.
Rejoice greatly even though at present time you may experience the trial of your faith, you will become more precious than gold that perishes though it is tried by fire, that your faith may be proven and give praise and honor and glory at the appearance of Jesus Christ. Having not seen Him, yet you love him; having not seen him, yet you believe. Rejoice with unspeakable and glorious joy, receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
MEDITATIO - Meditate on text, allow the LORD to touch us with His Word:
“a new birth into a living hope”
“Having not seen Him, yet you love him;”
‘having not seen him, yet you believe.”
ORATIO – Lifting our minds and hearts to the LORD in prayer:
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, our savior and hope, be with us this day and all days, so that our faith in You and love for You never fades especially during trying times, time of trials and challenges. Grant that we may be the disciples You call us to and the children the Father created us to be. Be with us, Christ Jesus, at all times, in all places. Amen
CONTEMPLATIO – Sitting with the LORD in silence for a minute or more
