Daily Scripture Reflection & Prayer: April 5,2026

LECTIO - Read Scripture Text:   Colossians 3:1-4

If you have been raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits at the right hand of the God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then we will appear with Him in glory.

MEDITATIO - Meditate on text, allow the LORD to touch us with His Word:

“above” – “Christ sits” – “right hand of God” – heaven vs. earth; spirit vs. flesh alone

“Christ, who is our life” –

ORATIO – Lifting our minds and hearts to the LORD in prayer:

Almighty Father, we lift our voices in praise of You and thanksgiving for all You are and all You have willed for love of us. We give You thanks especially for the gift of your only-begotten Son, Jesus, whom You sent to us not only to reveal You more fully and your love for us but to redeem us according to your will so that we might have life in abundance with You. Grant that through the power of the Spirit our minds may be opened and our hearts expanded so that we might more wholly and more perfectly remain with Him as He has promised to remain with us. May this day, our remembrance of His resurrection, illuminate our beings so that we might more perfectly celebrate He who is the Alpha and Omega, your beloved Son, and our Savior. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, your beloved Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Spirit, one LORD, forever and ever. Amen.
