Daily Scripture Reflection & Prayer: July 12,2026

LECTIO - Read Scripture Text:   Isaiah 55:10-11

(The Lord said,) “As the rain comes down from heaven and does not return before it waters the earth and makes it bring forth and produce fruit that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the hungry, so shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth. It shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish what I desire, accomplishing the purpose for which I sent it.”

MEDITATIO - Meditate on text, allow the LORD to touch us with His Word:

Am I opening myself to the LORD’s will and grace? Do I seek the LORD’s purpose?

BREAKING OPEN THE TEXT:

In today’s first reading from Isaiah, we hear the LORD speak through the prophet about divine power of the LORD’s Word.

ORATIO – Lifting our minds and hearts to the LORD in prayer:

LORD, open my mind, my heart, and my soul to your Word so that I might grow in your loving grace and that I might discern my unique role in your divine plan. Grant that my life will bear the fruit You foreknew and desired. Amen.

CONTEMPLATIO – Sitting with the LORD in silence for a minute or more
