LECTIO - Read Scripture Text: Psalm 19:2-5
2The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament shows forth His achievements.
3Day utters the promise unto day, and night makes known to night knowledge.
4Not a promise nor an act expressed goes unheard.
5 Through all the earth their expression goes out, and their words to the end of the world.
MEDITATIO - Meditate on text, allow the LORD to touch us with His Word:
The heavens proclaim the glory of the LORD without words. Their witness is ceaseless and silent yet powerful testimony to the power and presence of the LORD. The universe teaches us without words/sounds across all cultures of the splendor of God. Where is my witness? Is my very being proclaiming the glory of the LORD? Am I being called to testify?
ORATIO – Lifting our minds and hearts to the LORD in prayer:
Almighty LORD, Creator Father, Beloved Son, Most Holy Spirit, I lift my mind, my heart, my whole being in praise to You, the source of all good, love itself. As I look about me to the heavens and near me to the gifts of the earth, I am in awe of all that is because You are and because You created a universe and humanity. The heavens proclaim You and your power. Stir within me, give me a voice, that I may give witness to your power and presence, manifestations of your all-powerful love, at work in our world, at work in my life. Grant that I may give others cause to see You. May I bring others to You and You to others.
CONTEMPLATIO – Sitting with the LORD in silence for a minute or more
