We were talking around the kitchen table about going into the big cities to visit. Sally mentioned that her friend uses an Uber when she goes. And an hour later I got an email inviting me to consider applying to be an Uber driver. Then the next day my husband and I were talking about a situation with an existing property easement and that we might need to go to the attorney for help navigating the conversation. And this morning, I received an email from an unknown paralegal from heaven knows where wanting to know if he could be of assistance to me in my endeavors. And now I’m looking for the button on my phone that open up my world to the mystery listeners.
The first one I thought was a funny coincidence. The one this morning wasn’t funny nor did I think it was coincidental. It wasn’t random. Now I realize that all those folks who are asking questions about how the powers of AI will be handled are onto something. Life is demanding that I be a bit more intentional, a bit more alert, a bit more careful. I’m not easily spooked or frightened, but this one has me on the edge of both.
The two emails did cause me concern and concern always leads me to the same One – my LORD. My Almighty Father will know what to do. My Savior is “the way and the truth and the life” and He proved His love for me long before I even existed. The most Holy Spirit guides and guards and graces like a mother hen broods. I learned a long time ago that I can skip the trip to see the Wizard when I am confused or pressed. I know from experience that when I am in need, the One who cares about my need is the LORD. To quote Dorothy, “We’re not in Kansas anymore.”
As we continue our journeys of faith in our loving LORD, buoyed by the hope of His promise that He is with us always, and fueled by His love for us that allows us to love in return because He first loved us, let us be intentional about our journeys and our relationships. Let us maintain our awareness of what is happening around us, aware that not all is goodness, not all is light, and pray that we will have the LORD’s counsel and grace to differentiate the one from the other. And let us labor to cooperate with the LORD’s grace and guidance daily.
Until tomorrow, let us all love well.
