An Easter Hallelujah (04/05/2026)

Jesus Christ is risen. Hallelujah. Let our joy be heard and our praise of the LORD rise to fill the earth.

Our Lenten journeys have brought us to the empty tomb, and hopefully to a renewed hope, an enhanced faith, and a deeper love. Let us be the disciples we are called to be as apostles who are also called to bring this good news to others through our words and actions.

May this day be filled with praise of the LORD and thanksgiving as we gather at church to celebrate and over meals with family and friends. Let us not only celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, but also live the life He died and rose to give us a share in. The life in abundance He promised and won for us is not only for beyond this earth but to be begun on this earth for life in Christ is a fuller life.

As children of God, brothers and sisters in Christ, and temples of the Holy Spirit, let us live fully the life won for us by such a great sacrifice for our sins and such an unfathomable victory over sin and death. Fortified by our season of prayer, disciplined through our fasting, and enlarged through our giving of self and resources to others, let us vow to live our faith, to rely on our hope, and to express our love every day and in every way possible.

Jesus Christ is risen. Hallelujah. Let our joy be heard and our praise of the LORD rise to fill the earth indeed.
