Breaking the text open – background and summary:
Today’s responsorial psalm is not actually a psalm but is taken from 1st Chronicles. It focuses on the LORD’s sovereignty over all and the source of all true and holy power.
Meditating on the text with personal questions:
Do I daily acknowledge my dependence on the LORD and offer to steward what the LORD has given to me?
Praying:
LORD, Almighty Father, Beloved Son, Most Holy Spirit, I offer my praise to You, the source of all goodness, all love, all holiness I encounter. I thank You for all the gifts You have given to me and the grace to discern these gifts and use them for love of You and of my sisters and brothers. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
