Daily Scripture Reflection & Prayer: October 12,2026

LECTIO - Read Scripture Text:   Psalm 95:8

If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

MEDITATIO - Meditate on text, allow the LORD to touch us with His Word:

Am I listening? Am I open to the LORD’s voice and desires for me?

BREAKING OPEN THE TEXT:

Today’s gospel acclamation is the powerful line from Psalm 95 that reminds us both of the LORD’s constant power and presence in our lives but also of our responsibility to be open to the LORD’s loving will and ready to respond with love.

ORATIO – Lifting our minds and hearts to the LORD in prayer:

LORD, Almighty Father, Beloved Son and Savior, Most Holy Spirit, tenderize my heart today so that I may truly hear your voice and set aside my fears and selfishness and trust in You. Amen.

CONTEMPLATIO – Sitting with the LORD in silence for a minute or more
