Daily Scripture Reflection & Prayer: October 14,2026

LECTIO - Read Scripture Text:   John 10:27

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”

MEDITATIO - Meditate on text, allow the LORD to touch us with His Word:

Am I among Jesus’ flock? Do I “know Him”? Do I follow Him?

BREAKING OPEN THE TEXT:

Today’s short gospel acclamation from the Gospel of John, recounts Jesus’ words to us, His invitation to us to be among His flock, to “know” Him as He knows us, and to follow Him.

ORATIO – Lifting our minds and hearts to the LORD in prayer:

LORD Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior and Shepherd, with all my heart, I thank You for calling me to yourself. The world is so full of distractions and competing voices. Send the Spirit that I may always and everywhere recognize You and hear your voice and discern your will for me. In the Spirit, grant that I may come to know You more fully, more deeply, and love You wholly, and follow You wherever You lead me. Amen.

CONTEMPLATIO – Sitting with the LORD in silence for a minute or more
