Good Morning, LORD (12/31/2022)

Good morning, LORD. Thank You for your unceasing power and presence in my life this past year. As I stand at the end of this year and recall all the many times and ways You have graced me and blessed me, I am humbled beyond belief. Who am I that You should care for me as You do?

This day I pack away 2025. I take with me the memory of your constant care through the ordeals of my year as well as your calls to me to be the daughter You created me to be. For those times that I failed to pick up the mantle of your blessed daughter and walk in your love, I am most heartedly sorry. I pray that this next year I will be more attentive to and more cooperative with your will and your graces.

Watch over my family as they, too, seek to journey in faith, hope and love. Their journey is different than mine. Help me to be supportive of them where they are and to love them always as You love me.

Give me the courage to continue my journey in You, to respond to your calls to me to share the faith which you have instilled in me, to speak of the hope that burns strongly within me of life with You, and to be an instrument of your transformative love in this world. Help me to see the other always, to be present not only to the moment and the person before me, but also to seek your presence and your being within others.

As I embark on the journey of this next year, grant that the peace that is possible only in You, with You, and through You will grace my moments, my days, my being. Almighty Father, dearest Son, Most Holy Spirit, help me to remember always and everywhere that I am because You Are, without You I cannot be.

This was my prayer this morning. As we continue our journey together, let us keep our hearts open to the LORD and to one another. Let us seek the LORD’s will for each of us. Let us be the companions on the journey that the LORD calls us to be. And let us commit to loving well all the days of our being.
