Daily Scripture Reflection & Prayer: April 16,2026

LECTIO - Read Scripture Text:   John 3P:31-36

He who comes from above is above all. He who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of earthly things.  

But He that comes from heaven is above all. And he testifies to what he has seen and heard. But no one receives his testimony.  He who has received his testimony gives witness to God’s trustworthiness. For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God for God gave the Spirit to him without measure.

The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand. The one who believes in the Son has everlasting life and the one who believes not in the Son shall not see life but the wrath of God will remain upon him.

MEDITATIO - Meditate on text, allow the LORD to touch us with His Word:

ORATIO – Lifting our minds and hearts to the LORD in prayer:

Almighty and Loving Father, You desired to share yourself with us and sent your only-begotten Son, your WORD made flesh. He revealed You to us and your desire that we have life and have it in abundance. He spoke to us and His words come directly from You. And He sent the Spirit who helps to open our minds and hearts to Him and to trust in Him. He is superior to all other messengers in our world, and we pray that we may open our minds and hearts to Him completely. Grant that we embrace in the here and now your beloved Son, our Savior, Your WORD made flesh and His witness through word and action. May our belief lead to our obedience of your law of love for You and one another. We ask this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Spirit, one LORD, forever and ever. Amen
