LECTIO - Read Scripture Text: Psalm 121:7-8
The LORD shall guard you from all evil; He shall guard your soul.
The LORD shall guard your going and coming now until forever.
MEDITATIO - Meditate on text, allow the LORD to touch us with His Word:
Do I allow the LORD to be the LORD or am I insisting on my independence? Do I allow the LORD to guard me or do I insist I can do it myself? Do I recognize that the LORD was with me as I came into this world? Will I allow the LORD to be with me when I leave?
ORATIO – Lifting our minds and hearts to the LORD in prayer:
LORD, with all humility, I come to You as I begin this day recognizing that You are the source of all being, the source of all life, the source of time, the source of love because You are love itself. I believe that You are with me always; help me to act like that. Help me to humbly ask for your help to unwrap your gifts, to rely upon your grace, and to seek your will so that I might live as the one You created me to be. May my love for You increase this day. Amen.
CONTEMPLATIO – Sitting with the LORD in silence for a minute or more
