Daily Scripture Reflection & Prayer: May 30,2026

LECTIO - Read Scripture Text:   Jude 1: 17, 20b-25

Remember the words spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: Beloved, build yourself up in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. Have compassion for those who waver, and for others pull them out of the fire, and on still others have mercy with fear, hating the outer garment stained by the flesh.

Now to him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.

Today’s first reading stresses the need for spiritual perseverance for believers in Christ and for the communal responsibility in helping other believers who stray.

ORATIO – Lifting our minds and hearts to the LORD in prayer:

Almighty Father, we come to You this day seeking the gift of the Spirit to help us walk in the footsteps of your only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior. Grant that we may be strengthened in our resolve to live the life of a believer, one of love and right relationship with You and with our brothers and sisters. Help us to accompany others along the way with compassion and mercy. We ask this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Spirit, one LORD, forever and ever. Amen.
