Scripture Text: Â Psalm 62:2-3, 6-7, 9
R.   (13b) Lord, you give back to everyone according to his works.
Only in God is my soul at rest;Â Â Â
from him comes my salvation.
He only is my rock and my salvation,  Â
my stronghold; I shall not be disturbed at all.
R.    Lord, you give back to everyone according to his works.
Only in God be at rest, my soul,  Â
for from him comes my hope.
He only is my rock and my salvation,  Â
my stronghold; I shall not be disturbed.Â
R.    Lord, you give back to everyone according to his works.
Trust in him at all times, O my people!  Â
Pour out your hearts before him;Â Â Â
God is our refuge!
R.    Lord, you give back to everyone according to his works.

Breaking the text open – background and summary:
The psalm for today, Psalm 62, reminds us that the LORD is our refuge, our rock, our stronghold in whom we shall be disturbed.
Â
Meditating on the text with personal questions:
Do I seek the LORD with all my being? Do I love the LORD with all my being?
Â
Praying:
LORD, Almighty Father, Beloved Son, Holy Spirit, we lift our voices in praise and awe as we recognize your transcendent power and presence, manifestations of your love. To You we come knowing that salvation comes from You, through You and in You. We trust in You, LORD; be our refuge, the source of our hope, the cause of our joy. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
