Scripture Text:  Luke 8:1-3

Jesus journeyed from one town and village to another, preaching and proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom of God. Accompanying him were the Twelve and some women who had been cured of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out, Joanna, the wife of Herod’s steward Chuza, Susanna, and many others who provided for them out of their resources.

Praying:

LORD, Jesus Christ, You call me to deny myself, to pick up my own cross, and to follow You. Send your Spirit to aid me in my discipleship, to help me put my love for You and others above my selfish desires of the moment, and to follow You into the world to bring the good news of the Kingdom of God to others through my words and actions. Grant that I may bring all I have to my love of You and my service to You and that I might share it generously. Be with me, LORD, as You promised, and help me as I try with all my might to remain in You, “the Way, the Truth, and the Life,” Son of God, my Savior. Amen.
