Third Sunday of Easter

Scripture Text: Revelation 5:11-14

I, John, looked and heard the voices of many angels who surrounded the throne and the living creatures and the elders. They were countless in number, and they cried out in a loud voice: "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches, wisdom and strength, honor and glory and blessing." Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, everything in the universe, cry out: "To the one who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor, glory and might, forever and ever." The four living creatures answered, "Amen, " and the elders fell down and worshiped.

The first reading from the Revelation of John speaks of the praises for “the Lamb”, for Christ by those assembled in heaven and joined by everything/everyone in the universe.

Am I among those giving loving praise to Jesus Christ, “the Lamb”?

Praying:

LORD, Almighty Father, You sent your only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to dwell among us, to take on our human nature, all except sin, to redeem us from our sins, and to conquer death so that we might share life in abundance with You. Send your Spirit to totally open our minds, to enlarge our hearts, and to tenderize our beings so that we might more fully comprehend the greatness of your love and the love of your Son who gave himself for love of You and love of us. Grant that we may be included among those assembled around the throne lifting our voices in unison with the angels in praise. We ask this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Spirit, one LORD, forever and ever. Amen.
