Daily Scripture Reflection & Prayer: September 8,2026

LECTIO - Read Scripture Text: Romans 8:28-30
And we know that all things work together for good of those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For those He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that they might be the firstborn among many. Moreover, those whom He predestined, He also called, and those He called, He also justified, and those whom He justified, he also glorified.
MEDITATIO - Meditate on text, allow the LORD to touch us with His Word:
Do I truly and deeply trust in the LORD? Do I seek the LORD’s will in my life, searching for the purpose woven within my being?
BREAKING OPEN THE TEXT:
In today’s second reading from Paul’s Letter to the Romans, Paul reminds us of the LORD’s providential design and salvific plan calling all of us collectively to holiness, cooperating with the LORD’s divine will for us.
ORATIO – Lifting our minds and hearts to the LORD in prayer:
LORD, Almighty Father, I come to You this day desiring to trust in your will and purpose and divine plan for me and all your children. You knew me before I was born and have been with me every step of my life. Send your Spirit to strengthen the bond of trust so that I might more perfectly follow the example of your beloved Son, Jesus Christ. Grant that I may join myself to Him more perfectly, the “firstborn” of many, and align my life with your will. I ask this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Spirit, one LORD, forever and ever. Amen.
CONTEMPLATIO – Sitting with the LORD in silence for a minute or more
